In some countries and places such as Malaysia, mothers who dumped their babies are mostly women who got pregnant outside of marriage because of fear of rejection by families and society. Most of the baby dumpers in Malaysia are Malays who happen to be Muslims. Muslims in Malaysia are often taught how despicable and hateful sex outside of marriage is and how immoral and shameful the people who commit it are so women who got pregnant outside of marriage usually dump their babies, sometimes kill before dumping them somewhere or try best to abort their fetuses to avoid rejection and persecutions by parents and families. The women who dump or kill their babies are usually those whose babies' fathers do not want to take responsibility for impregnating them. And of course, the women are the ones that are mostly get the blame and insults. Baby-dumping or pembuangan bayi in Malay is very serious in Malaysia.

China has 'baby hatches' where mothers can leave their babies there anonymously. Malaysia and other countries where baby-dumping is very serious should launch or open more baby-hatches where mothers who do not want their babies for fear of rejections, insults and persecutions by family members can leave their babies there anonymously. Please do not whine "oh, it would just make more people want to have sex outside marriage" or "oh, it would make more parents abandon their infants there". Oh please! No one is able to stop anyone from doing something they mutually agree to do and parents who are legally married would never abandon their babies. At least these baby-hatches that people can leave their babies anonymously can reduce or overcome baby-dumping and infant mortality.
