Three civilian plane tragedies in one week-- MH17, GE222, AH5017

On 17th of July 2014, we were surprised by the second Malaysia Airlines flight tragedy, MH17. A Boeing 777-200ER was shot down in Ukraine when the plane, with registration number 9M-MRD was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. All 283 passengers and 15 crew perished.

On 23rd of July 2014, Transasia Airways flight GE222 crashed on a residential area in Taiwan while attempting to land due to bad weather. 48 died and 10 survived. The plane was an ATR-72-500 with registration number B-22810.

On 24th of July, a week after MH17 was shot down in Ukraine, Air Algerie AH5017 lost contact and disappeared from radar 50 minutes after take-off. The McDonnel Douglas MD-83, with registration number EC-LTV diverted from its planned path due to extreme weather, disappeared from radar and was found crashed in Mali. AH5017 was a flight from Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso to Algiers, Algeria. There were 110 passengers and 6 crew members on board the flight and all were presumed dead. The plane was owned by Spanish private airline company SwiftAir but was operated by Air Algerie, an Algerian flag carrier.

MH17: "Flight Routes over Dangerous Zones" etc

It was in the early dark morning, my mommy woke me up and shocked me with another Malaysia Airlines tragedy. "Poor MAS. This is another one. Its plane was shot down in Ukraine. All perished" my mommy said.

Since the cause of the crash was shot down, I thought no one would blame Malaysia Airlines for the tragedy like they did when the disappearance of MH370 was a hot topic but I was wrong. Some people still blamed MAS for the crash because MH17 and other MAS flights fly over a wartorn area.

"Why did the plane flew over a wartorn area?"

"MAS just wants to save fuel and money".

"Should we trust MAS again?". 

 blah blah blah etc etc etc.

Why don't these people ask these questions by changing the word 'MAS' to any other airline company too such as Lufthansa, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Aeroflot any other airlines that have flights that used to fly over eastern Ukrainian airspace too?

Moreover the battlefield in eastern Ukraine was also considered safe by ICAO. So why only blame MAS?

This blaming is so unfair. You think MAS and MH17 pilots really wanted the plane to be shot down?  It was not only MH17 that flew over Ukraine at that time. Singapore Airlines and India Air were only miles away from the doomed airliner when 3 of them were flying over Ukraine. I am not defending MAS and saying that it is a right thing to fly over a conflicting area such as Ukraine. All airlines including MAS must avoid flying over conflicting areas. There were many other airlines and flights that flew in eastern Ukrainian airspace before.

Furthermore there are currently many other flights that fly over other conflict areas such as Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.

Some people also talked rubbish about MH17 pilots for diverting from original path. You think pilots can change their flight direction wherever they want? The divertion was most probably under command of Ukrainian ATC. The people who talked crap about MH17 pilots are so insensitive because the pilots were among the 298 people who were aboard the ill-fated flight.

First of all, my condolences and heart go out to the families of victims aboard the ill-fated plane which is reportedly to be shot down by surface-to-air missiles. I pray that God will give them strength to continue their lives and the ones who brought the plane down will be punished for murdering innocent people.

Since the plane crashed on Ukrainian-Russian border:

• Ukraine blames Russian-backed separatists and Russian government.
• Russia blames pro-Ukrainian militants.
• Some people put the blame on Malaysia Airlines because most of their flights to Europe fly over the crash site in Ukraine.

 

The first 2 blamings and finger-pointings are not only on the news. They are all over Youtube video comments, news comments sections and other website comments sections, mostly made by Russians and Ukrainians.

The most important thing is to find the retarded criminals and bring them to justice no matter whether they are Russians, Ukrainians or whatever. 

Furthermore, dear pro-Russians who got the plane black box and want bring it to Moscow, please return it to Malaysia or Malaysian authority because the plane belongs to Malaysia so Malaysia has full rights to investigate the black box. (EDIT: The Ukrainian rebels who held the black boxes withheld them because they wanted to hand it over to Malaysian authority)

Women and Honour-Shame System / Society

In modern countries such as USA, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, women there are lucky for not being too much burdened with 'protecting honor' responsibility. I don't really know how free the women there are from honor-shame system. Maybe women in rural parts of these countries are just like some parts of Pakistan, Afghanistan or India, who knows? 

This 'honor-shame system' is only put on women. Typically only women are expected to keep their virginities and their virginities are equivalent to the availability of their hymens. According to the societies that have this 'honor-shame system', hymen = virginity = honour. This crappy uncivilised system has often comitted honour-killing of female rape victims, putting rape victims to jail, forcing rape victims to marry their rapists to restore family's honours and limiting women's rights and freedoms because their main responsibility for their families is to protect families' honours. 

Hymen does not only break during first intercourse. Horse-riding may also cause the breaking of hymens. There are also some women who still have hymens even though they have had intercourse before. So virginity = hymen is just stupid.

Honour-shame system is really widespread in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, most lands in Middle East (including Israel and Georgia).

This system or custom is unfair and sexist because it is only put on women. When a man sexually assaults a woman, the man is not considered to be breaking his family's honour while the poor woman is the one who is considered to be breaking her family's honour / bringing shame to family, according to this system.

No one cares whether a man is a virgin or not but women are highly expected to keep virginity befpre marriage. If a man and a woman are caught having sex outside of marriage, the woman is the one that is mostly looked down on while people don't really give a damn about the man, according to this system.

In Saudi Arabia, one of the reasons of why women must cover up in all-black clothes is because it is a way for women to protect their and families' honours and to honour themselves. So how about men? How should men keep their honours? Men can wear normal and casual clothes while women can only be covered in all-black when leaving home because of honour? Is every woman naturally a dishonour so to honour themselves is to cover up in fully black?

How come only women must keep virginity while whether a man is a virgin or not should not be given a damn about?

Women are humans. Women are neither objects of sexual exhibitions nor sexual / shameful / precious / ornamental objects that must be hidden.

I am NOT suggesting or supporting sexual promiscuity of women here but I am just expressing how much I am against honor-shame system.

This system should be thrown from all over the world to garbage sites.

Congratulations and Thank You Germany for Making Me Happy!

I have been waiting for this for 4 years, since the 2010 World Cup. Before 2010 World Cup, I didn't know jack about football and had no idea what 'World Cup' was.

This makes me really happy. It fades away some of my sadness. It puts a smile on my face. Germany's victory in this World Cup tournament is really meaningful to me.

Though Germany does not have the most World Cup like Brazil does, Germany has entered the most finals and semi-finals, has the most finishes in the top 4, top 3 and top 2, has the most second-place and third-place finishes, has the highest number of goals scored and the most matches played. I don't think how many World Cups a team has is the only thing that matters to decide how good a team is.

Throughout the final match between Germany and Argentina I shivered a lot. I was so scared if the Argentines took revenge on Germany for beating them in 1990 final, 2006 quarter-final in penalty shootouts and for thrashing them 4-0 in 2010 quarter-final.

Germany had a much higher ball possession that Argentina did. Unlike the quarter-final in 2010 World Cup, even though Germany defeated Argentina 4-0 Germany had lower ball possession than Argentina at that time. Germany also had more shots on target than Argentina did. So I think these also make the Germans played quite better than Argentina but Argentina attacked the most at second extra-time especially after Mario Götze scored a goal that lead Germany to the 4th World Cup title. 

Congratulations to Lionel Messi (Argentina) for the golden ball awards, Manuel Neuer (Germany) for the golden glove award and James Rodriguez (Colombia) for the golden boot award and the top scorer of this tournament.

It's not how many goals scored that makes a team great. Germany only won 1-0 against USA but look at the stats.

Germany had much higher ball possession. Germany had the most shots and shots on target. 8 out of 9 shots on target by Germany were saved by American goalkeeper. 1 unsaved shot of target was probably the goal scored by Germany. Some people use this match score as their argument why Germany is not really great despite thrashing Brazil 7-1.

The USA also has a great goalkeeper.

About Pepe vs Thomas Müller during Germany vs Portugal, Müller may overreacted. But he did not call the referee to give red card to Pepe and Pepe was sent off was not because of Thomas Müller falling. Some people blame Müller for the red card given to Pepe and talked s*** about Müller like Pepe was an angel. The referee gave red card to Pepe because Pepe headbutted Müller. Why on earth did Pepe headbutt Müller. If Pepe didn't do that I don't think he would be sent off. Fighting during match is really unprofessional and childish and Pepe deserved the red card.

Though some of you guys especially Portugal fans hate Thomas Müller, he is still my no 1 favourite footballer. He has had 10 goals in World Cup at only 24 years old and has only played at 2 World Cups. This is amazing. Haters gonna hate. Who knows one day he might break Miroslav Klose's record of all-time World Cup top-scorer?

Palestine and Anti-Semitism in Malaysia

Oh calm down especially if you are a Palestine-supporting Malaysian. I am not here to write that I support Israel. Not at all. My tongue sticks out to the Zionists and the Israhell :p 

 

I would like to talk about both what Malaysians think of Palestine and anti-Semitism in Malaysia.

Starting off with Palestine, Most Muslims are very strong supporters of the Palestinians. That's not the problem and I also do not have any problem with it. One of the things that bothers me is Malaysians only care and are only concerned about the Palestinians who are Muslims. All they say is "O' God! Please protect and save our Muslim brothers and sisters in Gaza from the Jews, may God curse them". And they are also only willing to donate to Palestinian Muslim by saying "let's donate to Muslims in Palestine". So this proves that most Malaysian Muslims only want to help Muslims who suffer and only feel enraged when Muslims are killed or tortured especially if the killers are non-Muslims. The situations of the Palestinians are undeniably hurting to see and is even more hurting to feel what they are facing. But if you are a true supporter of peace and humanity, then you'd support all innocent victims and people who suffer regardless of their religions or race. Malaysian Muslims support the Palestinians simply because the majority of the Palestinians are Muslims, not because of humanitarian reason. It seems like they don't care about Palestinian non-Muslims who are killed by Israelis. 

Also, many Malaysian Muslims, as well as other Muslims especially non-Arabs think that Israeli-Palestinian conflict is because the Israelis want to destroy Islam and kill Muslims. The conflict between Israel and Palestine is mainly because of race and land, not religion.

Jews who oppose the State of Israel and condemn the atrocities committed by Israelis in Gaza.

Since a few years ago, the feeling of awe and respect towards Adolf Hitler in Malaysia has been rising. Some Malaysian Muslims have begun to feel like it is really necessary to annihilate ALL the Jews and what Adolf Hitler did was really a good job.

When I was 14 or 15, my dad told me who Hitler really was. He said that Hitler was actually a good person and had already known that the Jews are evil (according to people like my dad) so Hitler massacred a huge number of Jews and left a few number of Jews because he wanted to show who Jews really are to the world. That was what my dad said. At that time I was quite gullible and easily believed what I was told by Islamists so I believed what my dad said and started loving Hitler. My dad also said that Osama bin Laden was actually a hero who fought the Americans for killing Muslims so I also loved Osama. When I was 16, early 16, at school, teacher asked students to write about themselves on papers. I wrote on a paper that I wanted to kill all the Jews as my wish and sent to the teachers. When I got older and had broadened my mind when I was 16, I started to feel stupid and regretted of what I have written. I hope the paper has been thrown somewhere. I was just like any other Islamist before I was 16 and a half years old.

My dad shared that in hope I would support it but I have changed. I am NOT a pro-Zionist but it is so ridiculous to massacre all Jews because of what some of them are doing.

Based on what I have been observing by myself, Malaysian Muslims are very very very very very one-sided against Israel. According to them it is entertaining when Israeli teenagers are killed / kidnapped (we don't know whether the Israeli teenagers had anything to do with Zionists or not). It is so delightful to them if the the whole Jewish ethnicity is eradicated because they believe all the Jews are onto something against all Muslims and Islam. Everything about Jews is bad to them. According to them all the Jews are terrorists. They are like Islamophobes who say that all Muslims are terrorists. But it makes them feel enraged when it is Muslims that are killed or tortured by non-Muslims.

In conclusion, according to them, Israeli or Jewish civilians can be killed, but Palestinian or any Muslim civilians cannot be killed.

To revenge enemies is only to fight the ones who commit the crime, not the civilians who are from the enemies' groups or countries.

Another thing that is so ridiculous about this is Malaysian Muslims use the word Jews and Americans interchangeably. Their logic is based on the alliance between United States and Israel. What kind of 'logic' is that? It is like saying Malaysians are Australians or vice versa because Malaysia and Australia are good friends. They say McDonalds, KFC, Starbucks and other American companies or products are Jewish products.

Sometimes I wonder what if the Palestinians were non-Muslims in majority while the Israelis were predominantly Muslims. Would Malaysian Muslims care about the Palestinians?
